Happy Holidays from Market Monkeys!

The holidays are upon us, and to celebrate, we’ve put together a Market Monkeys playlist of some of our favorite holiday songs — those penned or covered by our artists, and other tunes we love to enjoy during this time of year. We hope you enjoy!

And that’s not all — we have a few more treats in store for you, including new music from Della MaeThe Butcher Shoppe EP showcases the band’s most-requested fan-favorites including two brand-new original compositions and features guest appearances by Molly Tuttle, Alison Brown, and Avril Smith.

Recorded at The Butcher Shoppe Studio in Nashville, the EP will be released on March 1, 2019. The Bluegrass Situation recently premiered “Bourbon Hound”, the first single off The Butcher Shoppe EP. You can listen here. And when you pre-order a digital copy, you’ll get an immediate download of the track too.

Sarah Siskind is offering a free sampler via Noisetrade for a limited time, and is gearing up for her next record via her Pledge campaign (pledge bundles make great holiday gifts, in our opinion!). Rose Cousins and Don Brownrigg recorded “Little Road to Bethlehem” in 2012, and it’s just been released digitally. Check out their homespun music video here too.

Kirby Brown just released “Shepherd’s Lament“, examining the complexity of the holiday season — read NPR‘s thoughtful piece on the song. And Chely Wright’s Santa Will Find You was included in Taste of Country’s Best Country Christmas Music of 2018 list. Check it all out below!

Katie brings expertise in strategic marketing and fan engagement to the Market Monkeys team. Having worked with high profile touring artists and North American festival partners during her time at CID Entertainment, Katie recognizes the value of the artist-to-fan connection. Her previous work in the nonprofit arts sector sharpened her storytelling toolkit, and continues to inform her volunteer work in Los Angeles where she resides.

At Market Monkeys, Katie’s work on behalf of Fortunate Ones, Rose Cousins, John Smith, Sarah Siskind, Della Mae, Dervish, and countless other of our artists and clients is instrumental. During this time of growth in our company, she has refined processes including social media planning, fulfillment and fan customer service, she’s trained new staff, and she encourages us to approach every project with scalable solutions. She is a remarkable problem solver, impeccable in her work, trusted by our artists, and we are lucky Katie is a monkey!

The music industry is a 24x7x365 type of business, and we work dutifully on behalf our our clients all year long. We believe rested monkeys are the most effective at their jobs! As such, the Market Monkeys team will celebrate the holidays by closing our offices between December 24-January 1.

We wish you the warmest of holidays!
