With Thanksgiving around the corner, we have a lot to be thankful for here at Market Monkeys. We are thankful to count you as part of the family, whether you’ve been on the journey with us from the very beginning or are a new partner in music. We’re also grateful for our expanded team. In the next several newsletters, we’ll highlight the folks behind-the-scenes who support our artists and make it all happen. We look forward to introducing them to you!
NEW MUSIC ON THE HORIZON
As the music industry has evolved, so has the fan-to-artist connection. Platforms like PledgeMusic allow fans to join their favorite artists on the album-making journey, giving them an inside scoop into the process, while providing financial support for the artist’s endeavor. Inviting fans into the creation of music making is an intimate offering, and we’re pleased to share two such projects with you below!
Sarah is heading to Echo Mountain in Asheville in January to record her most honest and auto-biographical album to date, “Modern Appalachia”. It digs deep into her stories, addressing the questions Who am I really? How do I love? How has where I’m from shaped me? Balancing old and new, ancient and free, these songs reflect Sarah’s home state of North Carolina. Join the journey via PledgeMusic, by December 14th!
Natalia is currently recording her eighth studio album with engineer Mark Dann in Woodstock, NY. It is the soundtrack to The Women Who Rode Away, Natalia’s multi-media performance of paintings, stories and songs about women who have defied and defined categorization throughout history. You can be a part of this record through her PledgeMusic campaign, ending December 1st!

MARKET MONKEYS TEAM: NEIL PEARSON
Neil provides Market Monkeys with Management and Market Development Services in the United Kingdom and Europe, bringing over 18 years of music industry experience in the UK and internationally in the singer/songwriter, folk, and wider roots genres. Currently that means offering day-to-day management support to John Smith in the release of his new album Hummingbird.
Neil is also assisting Rose Cousins building her team and expanding her writing and performing activities in the UK, and laying the groundwork planning future return UK tours with Della Mae, Fortunate Ones and Kirby Brown. We have known Neil a very long time, value the respect he has garnered of the international music industry, appreciate the positivity and palpable passion he brings to his work with artists, partners and our team. We are extremely grateful to have Neil on board!
With deep thanks,
